Is the hourly rate per mover or for the whole crew?
The Spartan hourly rate pays for the whole crew and the truck together. $175/hr means three movers plus a 26 ft truck, not $175 for each person.
Do I pay extra for the truck?
No truck fee is added. The truck rides along inside the hourly crew rate.
If you send 4 movers, is it $235 each?
No, $235 an hour is the total for all four people and the truck.
What does a two-person crew cost?
A pair of movers with the truck is $145 an hour, used for very small moves or on request.
One rate for the crew and the truck
The rate is for the entire team plus the truck. When we quote $175 an hour, that single number pays for three movers and our 26 ft truck together. There is no separate truck charge stacked on top.

Why the per-person reading is wrong
Some customers read $175 and multiply it by three in their heads, arriving at $525 an hour. That is not how we bill. Take the 3-hour minimum with three movers:
- Correct reading: 3 hours x $175 = $525 for the crew and truck
- Mistaken per-person reading: 3 x $175 x 3 = $1,575
The same logic holds for the other crew sizes. $145 covers a pair of movers with the truck, and $235 covers four movers with the truck. Divide by headcount and the effective cost per mover is roughly $72.50, $58.33 or $58.75 an hour. That breakdown is just for comparison; the bill shows only the crew rate.
Why we bundle it
One all-in number keeps the bill easy to check. At the end of the day you look at the start and finish times, multiply by the crew rate, and add any boxes or covers you used. Fuel, mileage and tax are already inside that rate, so nothing else needs to be reconciled. Crew size follows the size of your home: three movers is our standard, and four movers go to 3-bedroom homes over about 1,800 square feet and homes with four or more bedrooms.
