A small town split by the freeway
Corte Madera covers about 4.4 square miles between San Francisco Bay and the foothills of Mount Tamalpais, and US-101 runs straight through it. East of the freeway, the land is flat and low: ranch homes, newer subdivisions and condos near Shorebird Marsh, Paradise Drive and the two big shopping centers, The Village and Town Center. West of the freeway, Old Corte Madera gathers around the Town Square and Tamalpais Drive, and Christmas Tree Hill rises behind it, named for the street lights that trace a lit tree shape on its slope.

Whatever the house, the first 3 hours are the minimum, after that it is billed by the quarter hour, and the hourly rate is the same seven days a week. Pads, tape, wardrobe boxes, floor protection and furniture disassembly are included. You pay for packing materials only if we use them.
Getting the truck in place
- Christmas Tree Hill. Streets climb and curve toward the ridge. We look at the slope and turning room before move day. If the truck cannot get close, David tells you ahead of time whether a shuttle is needed (it adds truck rental and labor).
- Old Corte Madera. Around the Town Square and the Piccolo Pavilion, curb space is shared with shops and classes. Plan early.
- East side flats. Driveways and wide streets make this the easy side, though school traffic on Paradise Drive and Tamalpais Drive slows things at drop-off.
- Town rules. If the truck needs to hold street space, check with the Town of Corte Madera whether your street needs a permit, and tell us what you find so we can plan around it.

Coming up from the South Bay
Corte Madera is about 54 miles northwest of downtown San Jose in a straight line. It sits just north of the Golden Gate on US-101, with exits at Tamalpais Drive and Paradise Drive. We do not charge for the drive to you. Between pickup and drop-off, if the trip is more than 10 minutes, drive time counts double under California rules. A move to Larkspur or Mill Valley next door rarely crosses that line.

Can the truck get up Christmas Tree Hill?
On most streets, yes. Where a street looks too steep or tight to turn, David checks the access before move day and tells you if a shuttle is needed, since that adds truck rental and labor.
We need to stop at a storage unit on the way. Is that extra?
On a local move, an extra stop costs only the time it takes. There is no separate stop fee.
Can you hang our TV at the new house?
We take TVs down and can connect them, but we do not wall-mount. A handyman or installer should do the mounting.
