North San Jose Movers for Apartment Complexes and Condos
North San Jose movers for large apartment and condo complexes along North First Street and Tasman in 95134 and 95131. 3 movers $175/hr. 1-877-417-6060.

What a complex will ask of you
- Insurance. A certificate naming the property or management company, usually before the date is confirmed. We issue it free.
- An elevator booking. Many buildings reserve a service elevator for a fixed block of time.
- A move window. Some buildings allow moves only on certain days or hours, so ask early.
- A loading spot. Often a marked zone or a bay inside the parking structure, sometimes with a height limit. Ask for the clearance and tell us, since our truck is a 26 ft box truck.
- Protection. Floor protection along the route, which our crew brings. Ask the building whether it hangs elevator pads.
Offices, light rail and a lot of apartments
North San Jose runs from the airport up toward Alviso and the bay, mostly in ZIPs 95134 and 95131. North First Street is the spine, with light rail down the middle, and Tasman Drive, Zanker Road, Montague Expressway, Trimble Road and Brokaw Road fill out the grid. US 101, Interstate 880 and State Route 237 run through or along the edges. For a long time this was office parks and research campuses. Then large apartment and condo complexes went up between them, close to the light rail stops, and many people now live close to where they work. Levi's Stadium sits just over the line in Santa Clara, and the Guadalupe River Trail runs along the west side.
Who asks us for quotes here
From mid-July to late October 2026 we received 6 quote requests from ZIPs 95134 and 95131, not counting account work. One of them booked or completed, and all six were local moves. One-bedroom units came up most often.
Lease-end timing
A lot of North San Jose housing is rental, so lease-end moves are a big part of the picture: from one complex to another a few minutes away, or from an apartment to a first house elsewhere in the valley. End-of-month dates fill first, and two buildings both need an elevator slot on the same day. Booking both the move-out and move-in elevator before you book the truck avoids a crew waiting in a lobby.
Pricing for one- and two-bedroom units
A small one-bedroom with light furniture can be handled by 2 movers at $145 an hour. Most one- and two-bedroom apartments go faster with 3 movers at $175 an hour, especially when the truck is far from the unit. Three bedrooms over 1,800 square feet, or four bedrooms and up, get 4 movers at $235 an hour. There is a 3-hour minimum, then 15-minute billing. Elevator waiting is counted as job time, so a confirmed reservation matters.

In a big complex, the walk from the loading spot to your unit is what stretches the hours. Ask for the loading area closest to your building.
Getting here
North San Jose is about 5 miles northwest of downtown San Jose, and you are not billed for the drive to you. Moves to Milpitas, Santa Clara or Sunnyvale are usually short. When the new address is more than 10 minutes away, the drive time between the two homes is doubled under California rules.
Your building checklist
- Request the written move policy from both the old and new buildings.
- Reserve both elevators and loading areas for the same day.
- Send each management office's name, mailing address and email so we can issue COIs.
- Ask for the parking structure height limit.
- Get fobs or access codes for the loading entrance.
- The arrival window is 8 to 10 AM, with a call about 30 minutes before the crew pulls in.

Questions and answers
My complex only allows weekday moves. Does that cost more?
No. Our rate is the same every day of the week, so the building's schedule does not change the price.
The loading area is far from my unit. Will that add time?
Yes, because billing is hourly and the crew walks every item. Tell us the distance so the estimate reflects it, and ask the building for the closest loading spot.
Can you move just a few pieces from one complex to another?
Yes. A small job still has a 3-hour minimum, and 2 movers at $145 an hour usually suits it.
Do you assemble new furniture?
We disassemble and reassemble the furniture we move as part of full-service moves. Ask us about new flat-pack items when you book.
Can I pay with a card?
Yes, Visa or Mastercard with a 3% card fee. Cash and money orders also work. Checks are not accepted.
