02Why there is a fee at all
Card processors charge the business a different rate depending on the card type, rewards level and how it is run. Instead of guessing which card you will use, we apply one average rate of 3% to every card transaction. That keeps it simple and the same for everyone, and it lets our hourly rates stay as they are for customers who pay another way.

04Ways to keep the fee off your bill
- Bring cash for the final amount, or a money order.
- If you are not sure of the exact total, a money order close to your estimate plus cash for the balance works.
- Check our coupon page for discounts you may qualify for, which are applied to the move itself.
- Look over your quote again the day before, so you know roughly how much cash to have on hand.
None of this is required. Plenty of customers pay by card because it is convenient and leaves a clear record, and that is completely fine.
