Do your movers take apart and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Spartan's crew takes apart and puts back together beds, sectional sofas and dining tables as part of the hourly rate, with their own tools.

Yes, it comes with the move
A
Yes. Taking furniture apart at the old place and putting it back together at the new one is part of every full-service move, with no separate fee. Our crew brings the tools for it and does this on nearly every job, so beds, sectionals and dining tables are routine work.
Pieces we commonly take apart
A| Item | Typical work |
|---|---|
| Bed frames | Headboard, rails and slats removed, then rebuilt in the new bedroom |
| Sectional sofas | Sections unhooked and reconnected |
| Dining tables | Legs or base removed so the top can travel flat |
| Other large pieces | Ask us; if it was built to come apart, the crew can usually handle it |
How it affects time and cost
AThere is no per-piece charge. Disassembly simply happens on the clock like the rest of the move. A simple bed takes a few minutes; a large platform bed with storage drawers takes longer. Mention big or complicated pieces when you request a quote so David can factor them into the time estimate and the crew size.
One exception worth knowing: with a baby crib, we ask a parent to supervise the reassembly, because you know how it was set up and safety matters most there.
Ways to keep it quick
A- Strip the bedding before the crew arrives.
- Empty drawers in dressers and nightstands.
- Point out any piece you want left assembled, or that is staying behind.
- Decide where each bed goes in the new home so it is rebuilt in the right room the first time.
Our moving checklist covers the rest of the prep, and the residential moving page explains a full home move from start to finish. For what else the hourly rate includes, see local moving.
