Yes. We move storage unit to home, home to storage, or unit to a smaller unit, billed hourly with no extra-stop fee and a 3-hour minimum.
Do you charge for picking up from storage and a house in one move?
Not as a separate fee. A second pickup only adds the time spent loading there and driving between the stops.
Can you take items from my apartment to a storage unit across town?
Yes. If the unit is more than 10 minutes from your home, the drive between them counts twice under California's tariff, at the same hourly rate.
Do I have to be there when you open my unit?
Yes, someone with access needs to meet the crew and point out what is moving.
Is a storage-to-storage move cheaper?
Within one facility there is no drive between pickup and drop-off, so you pay only for loading, moving and unloading time.
Yes, we do storage unit moves
Yes. We empty self-storage units into homes, fill units from homes and move people from a big unit into a smaller one. It is billed the same way as any local move: an hourly rate for the whole crew and the truck, with a 3-hour minimum.

What to arrange with the facility
- Meet the team there. Bring the key, lock code or gate code. The crew cannot open a unit that is not in your name.
- Check facility hours. Gate times differ, and a crew waiting at a locked gate is still on the clock.
- Label what goes and what stays. If only part of the unit is moving, mark it or move the keep-pile to one side beforehand.
- Tell us about tight spots. Interior hallways, freight elevators and long corridors add time, not fees.
The storage unit can be the first stop of the day or the last. Tell us which order you want so the day is planned around the facility's gate hours.
What a small unit costs
Even a 5x5 locker falls under the 3-hour minimum. With 3 movers at $175 an hour, the minimum is $525, and after that time is counted in 15-minute steps. Two movers at $145 an hour can work for a very small unit; the minimum then is $435. See the local moving page for how hourly moves work.
