Our own crew
Local moves are done by Spartan's own team, not subcontractors. Our core crew has been with the company since 2007, and our newest crew member joined in 2014.
Each foreman runs the job from a phone: the work order, your signed agreement, and the payment at the end, so the details you gave us when you booked are the ones the crew works from.
Who runs it
Spartan is run by its owner, David K. If you call or write to us, David is the person who sets your rate, prepares your quote, checks tight access on a street or driveway before move day, prices long-distance moves and handles any claim directly. His name is on every quote we send.
How we work
- Everything in writing. Your quote lists the hourly rate, the crew, the 3-hour minimum, what is included and how drive time is billed. See how we price.
- No deposit on local moves. You pay at the end.
- Same rate every day, weekdays and weekends.
- A real arrival window. 8 to 10 AM in the South Bay and Peninsula, 9 to 11 AM in San Francisco and the East Bay, and a call 30 minutes before the crew arrives.
- Free on-site inspection with a not-to-exceed price when you want a ceiling. No video estimates.
- Free certificates of insurance for buildings and HOAs.
Where we work
Local moves anywhere in the Bay Area, billed by the hour with no charge for driving to your first address. Each region has its own page with local notes on parking, buildings and typical moves: San Francisco, San Mateo County and the Peninsula, Santa Clara County and the South Bay, Alameda County, Contra Costa County and Marin County.
