To prepare a quote we need four details: your moving date, the pickup and drop-off zip codes, the size of your home in bedrooms and approximate square footage, and whether you will pack yourself or want our help. That is enough to give you a rate, a crew size and a realistic time range.
The core list
- Date: your preferred day, plus a backup if you are flexible
- Zip codes: for both addresses; street addresses come later, once you book
- Home size: number of bedrooms and rough square feet
- Packing: doing it yourself, or partial or full help from us
Zip codes tell us whether double drive time is likely and which arrival window you fall in. Home size drives the crew and hours.

Lists beat photos at this stage
A written list of the larger pieces, like a sectional, a king bed, a dining set and a few dressers, tells us more than a stack of room photos. Photos are useful later for one specific item, such as a heavy safe, but for the quote a short list is faster for you and clearer for us. No, zip codes are enough to quote. Full addresses are collected once you decide to book.
