Does Spartan do long-distance and out-of-state moves?
We handle both intrastate moves, like the Bay Area to Southern California, and interstate moves to other states. The one rule is that the move has to originate in California. Our own crew loads your home here and the shipment travels on our truck.

What David needs to quote it
- Your preferred pickup date
- Home size, with a list or photos of the larger furniture
- Whether you want packing help or will pack yourself
- Both addresses, including access notes at the destination
- Any delivery deadline, such as a lease start or closing date
A good list makes for a good estimate. Rooms full of books, a garage of tools or a home gym change the weight far more than people expect, so mention them even if they seem minor. If the home is large or hard to describe, David can come out for a free on-site look and put a not-to-exceed figure in writing.
Two ways to price it
By weight. Most long-distance moves are priced on the weight of the shipment with a minimum space reservation. Your written estimate shows the estimated weight, the rate per pound and the minimum, so nothing is hidden.
Reserved truck. If you want the truck to yourself, you can reserve it for a binding flat price. The same team loads and delivers, and the pickup and delivery dates are guaranteed.
